The scholarly article I found discussed how digital stories create dynamic opportunities for teaching and learning. In class you stated how digital stories aren't just used in Media &Film field and that it's used in many other fields. This article proves that as well. It describes how a digital story has helped target social skills for children with disabilities; the use of digital media involves visual support, which is an effective strategy for children. The article also goes into detail on how to create a digital story targeting social skills. The non- scholarly article I found was basically a guide on things you should know about digital storytelling. The article explained what a digital story is and the significant of a digital story. The article also mentioned the future of digital stories along with a couple other things on digital stories.
I was undecided about my next move after high school. I didn't want to go to college because I didn't feel like school was for me. My senior in high school I took a TV Production class and fell in love with it. I finally had a new look on life and where I wanted to go in life. I went to a community college and earned my Associate degree in Television Broadcasting but soon after I realized that finding a job in the television field is hard. So I applied to a few internships and got a call back from the Maury Show. While interning there I networked with other interns and found out a lot of them were seniors and they mentioned how hard it’s been to find a job, in the Television field. As I began looking for jobs I noticed a lot of jobs required a Bachelor's degree. So just when I thought I was done with school, I had to get ready to endure another two years at Kean University. While at Kean, I got more reassurance that this Media and Film industry is extremely hard to get into and made me questioned whether or not if I should change my major to something I truly didn't want to do but had lots of jobs opportunities (like nursing). I ended up taking a semester off and gave up on the TV gig. During the semester off I kept thinking to myself, I would regret not going through with the Television career in future. So I decided to go all out with my TV career and if it didn't work out I knew I tried my best and wouldn't have to keep asking myself "What if". I got another internship and went back to school the following semester. It's been my best decision yet, my internship offered me a job as an assistant editor and I'm graduating from Kean University this year.
